New Boilers

At Durham’s Heating Services, we are your local Gas Safe and OFTEC registered engineers. With fuel costs increasing, there is no better time to switch to an energy-efficient boiler. Switching to a new energy-efficient boiler is a savvy move for several compelling reasons. Firstly, it’s kinder to your wallet. Modern boilers are designed to get the most energy output, translating into noticeable savings on your energy bills.

Additionally, in an age where being eco-friendly is more crucial than ever, these boilers produce fewer carbon emissions, helping you do your bit for the environment. They offer consistent heating, ensuring you’re not left in the cold due to fluctuating performances. Our boilers are incredibly durable and efficient and come with up to 12 years guarantee

They’re built to last, so you’ll deal with fewer unexpected breakdowns and repairs. On the safety front, the latest models are geared up with features that minimise risks, such as potential carbon monoxide leaks. And, if you ever think about selling, having an energy-efficient boiler might bump up your property’s value. Opting for a new energy-efficient boiler is an investment in comfort, savings, and a greener future.

The signs that your boiler may need to be replaced.

1

Rising Energy Bills

Rising energy bills could be a sign of an inefficient boiler. When the heating system is old, it loses its efficiency.
2

Boiler Breakdowns

If you are encountering frequent boiler breakdowns, this could be a sign of potentially a much bigger problem.
3

Boiler Pressure

When a boiler is losing its pressure, this might be because of a leakage in the system.
4

Discontinued Parts

The parts of old boilers are usually hard to find. In some cases, they have discontinued.
5

Boiler Noises

If your boiler is making strange noises, like clunking, banging or whirring, these sounds should alarm you.
6

Yellow Flame

If the flame is yellow, this could be a problem. Yellow flame might be a sign that the boiler is leaking carbon monoxide.

Combi Boiler

A Combination or ‘Combi’ boiler is both a high-efficiency water heater and a central heating boiler in a single compact unit. Combi boilers heat water directly from the mains when you turn on a tap, so you won’t need a hot water storage cylinder or a cold water storage tank in the roof space.

  • Compact sizes make combi boilers perfect for smaller properties
  • Ideal where there is little or no loft space
  • No need for a hot water cylinder allows increased living space
  • No cold water storage tank frees up a loft for conversion
  • No risk of loft pipework freezing
  • Less pipework in the home makes installation typically cheaper

Regular Boiler

Regular boilers (sometimes known as traditional, conventional, heat only or back boilers) are ideally suited to homes that already have a traditional heating and hot water system which is linked to a separate hot water cylinder. These boilers also need a cold water storage tank in the loft to feed the hot water cylinder as well as a tank that maintains the water level of the central heating system.

Detailed below are the benefits:

  • Perfect for homes where a lot of hot water is used at the same time
  • Ideal where there are two or more bathrooms
  • A good option in areas where water pressure is low
  • Compatible with solar water heating systems for a lower carbon footprint and lower energy costs

System Boiler

A system boiler, also known as a sealed system boiler, is a type of central heating boiler that works in conjunction with a pressurised hot water cylinder. Unlike conventional boilers, system boilers don’t require a cold water tank in the loft, making them a space-saving and efficient choice for many homes.

  • Space efficiency
  • Well suited for homes with high demand for hot water
  • Fast and consistent hot water
  • Easy installation and compatibility with many heating systems
  • Even heating around your house
  • Energy efficient
